Right!? I thought about commenting the same thing a couple of days ago. People usually tend to diss female characters who aren't that strong, but it is fine when a male character is weak and he acts cool I guess.

Yes they can't appreciate the work and move on but still be bitching about how the character is weak or useless. If they are that good a critic make your own series is what i would suggest but at this point i just wanna avoid that toxicity and enjoy the show.

What's so hard to understand about orihime? she's literally a good girl in real life and perfect at everything. If you even propely watch what she said, instead of jumping into the hate bandwagon, Orihime is simply trying to find her purpose, she wants to find her place, she always buried her own feelings and priotizes others, she always cope with her depressing thoughts with eating sweets, she knows it well that's why he likes to cling around ichigo who always honest about his feelings

You know, anime protagonists also act differently around weak females than with weak men. Sado would just fight and if he was defeated, Ichigo would just shout his name and that's all, but if something happened to Orihime, Ichigo would lose..his..fucking..mind. Sado is tough and can actually survive the attacks from Arrankars, but Orihime would probably immediately die. There's also the thing that whoever Orihime attacked, it didn't work. Only thing tsubaki ever killed or injured was the hollow before Soul Society arc. About her barrier, it was easily shattered by a weak Arrankar. The healing ability she has is probably the only useful one, but considering all the disadvantages she has, she really isn't suited for fight or battlefield. They and I see a potential in Sado, because he is actually able to fight someone and has the potential to become stronger, or it's at least worth trying. I think Hachi needs to train Orihime and we'll see.

What sort of training do you expect her to do when she doesn't even understand her powers in the first place. Chad, Ichigo and Ishida can only train rn because they have people to guide them unlike her who has no one. Everyone's calling her trash cos she isn't strong but you forget that even Ichigo has always had someone to teach him whenever he reached a bottleneck if not he wouldn't even be on Sado's level. Orihime has been improving on her own from the start so instead of blindly hating on her, try to understand her situation first of all

Orihime power is actually quite amazing but her personality is too bland and can be annoying at times, Sado power is mid, but he has a good attitude and is moving forward

I think Orihime is not completely useless. I think she just depends too much on her power and doesn't really do much training. She acknowledged she's not that strong and I hope to see her growth. For Chad, I don't think he's that strong either (compare to others, which had trained for years), he still has a lot of room for improvement.
